Minor Characters - Discuss what he/she is trying to achieve and why he/she is succeeding or failing.
Brooke Mellott 3rd- A minor character in this story is Henry's mother. She is very worried about her son going into the war. She wants him to send his uniform to her right away when it starts getting rugged and old so she can fix it for him. I noticed that when Henry and the other characters talk they have like a southern slang to their voices. Sometimes it is very hard to understand and figure out what word they are really trying to say.
Hi, this is Cole Reeder from 7th period. A minor character in this story is the tall soldier. He talks to Harry quite often. He also seems to be kinda in control. Another minor character in this story is the loud soldier. He apperantly speaks out very loudly from what I have read.
Brooke Mellott 3rd Period- A couple minor characters have come up in the story. Characters like the general, Jones Tompkins, the tattered man, Jim Conklin, the dead soldier by the tree, and Tom Jamison. Henry talked to the tattered man the most out of all the because he obviously can't talk to the dead man. From what I read I take it Henry really doesn't like the tattered man because he tried to get away from him so he slipped through the crowd.
Hi, this is Cole Reeder from 7th period. I agree with your thoughts on Henry's feelings about the tattered man. Henry seems to want to avoid him. Maybe he is frightened by him.
